Harien has exclusive contracts to supply parchment and vellum to the Enclave of the Holy Oak and the Halean temple. He produces them using a highly specialised process that he does not share. He imports expensive dyes from Shiran, then mixes them in his cellar according to a secret formula to produce permanent, coloured inks. His best customers for these are the clerks at the caer, the heralds’ college, and the temples. He is a stoop-shouldered, learned man, and a devout Ilviran.
