Tarial Hundred

Shire: Thelshire Moot Seat: Tarial Abbey Bailiff: Tarial Abbey (hereditary)

Tarial Hundred lies in the southeastern corner of Thelshire, the most isolated of its five hundreds. The terrain is wooded and hilly, ranging from 700 to 1,200 feet in elevation, descending toward the Kamor Downs and Pagos Forest to the south and east. The hundred borders both Vemionshire and Oselshire.

Tarial Abbey holds the hereditary bailiffship and serves as the moot seat, giving the hundred an ecclesiastical character unusual among Kaldoran hundreds. Nubeth, the seat of Baron Elorieth, also lies within the hundred. The combination of dense woodland, rugged terrain, and relatively sparse settlement makes Tarial the wildest of Thelshire’s hundreds, though the abbey and baronial presence provide centres of order and authority.
