Wynedd

nLiege: Crown

Shepherd, Hindertis manor, Grimruld Hundred

Wynedd tends a flock of sixty sheep on the hillsides near the ford at Hindertis, where the road from Minarsas to Nenda crosses the Vemion Stream.

Appearance

A lean, sun-browned man with a deeply weathered face, tangled dark hair going grey at the temples, and the slightly bowlegged stance of someone who has spent his life walking rough ground. He wears a shapeless felt hat in all weathers and carries a long crook.

Personality

Laconic, observant, and unhurried. Wynedd speaks rarely and only when he has something worth saying. He notices everything that passes on the road — it is the only entertainment available to a man who spends his days watching sheep — and has an excellent memory for faces, times, and details. He is not unfriendly, but he will not volunteer information without being asked. A drink of ale or a few pennies will make him considerably more forthcoming.

He recalls seeing “two big lads with a handcart” on the road the evening before Galien of Heroth’s cart was attacked at the ford. He can describe them as tall, dark-haired brothers heading toward Accomon. He did not think it remarkable at the time.
