House of Artane
Period: 406–599 TR
Kaldoric barons, seeking to restore the Clan Tane, offered the crown to the only surviving son of Aidrik II, exiled in Chybisa. He took the name Aidrik III and changed his clan name from Tane to Artane to symbolize a fresh start.
Conciliation and compromise guided Kaldoric politics for nearly 200 years. Each time a monarch died, barons forced concessions from the new ruler.
