Dobraine Hundred

Shire: Nephshire Moot Seat: Asintina

Dobraine is the western hundred of Nephshire, occupying the rolling country between the Nephen river and the borders of Meselyneshire and Balimshire. The terrain is gently undulating, ranging from 500 to 1,000 feet in elevation, with a patchwork of mixed farmland and scattered woodland. The Nephen river flows through the hundred, providing water for irrigation and powering several mills.

The hundred is moderately prosperous, with agriculture as its mainstay. Grain, root vegetables, and livestock are the principal outputs. The eastern reaches of Dobraine include the approaches to the ancient Naniom Bridge, a Khuzan-built stone span across the Nephen that carries the Silver Way toward Azadmere. This bridge is a landmark of considerable strategic and commercial importance, and recent events at the crossing have drawn the attention of Baron Chimin Indama and the wider shire.

Dobraine’s location at the junction of the Silver Way and the Nephen valley makes it a natural corridor for trade and travel between eastern and western Kaldor. The hundred is quiet and largely self-governing, with local affairs managed through the moot at Asintina.
