The Exchequer Royal is the chief financial officer of Kaldor, responsible for the collection of royal revenues (through the sheriffs from the shires). The Exchequer Royal presides over the royal mint in Tashal and advises the king on budgetary matters. The current holder, Troda Dariune, is also the powerful Earl of Balim. The Exchequer Royal is a member of the Privy Council.
