Chelmarch Army

The Army of the Chelmarch is the permanent military force of the Chelmarch, the western march of Kaldor protecting the Salt Route. King Miginath holds the Warden title personally; Korus Ynel commands the army in practice. See also Chelmarch.

Structure

Permanent force:

• 1 company of medium foot
• 1 company of light foot
• 1 company of shortbow
• 1 company of light horse

Summer levy: Feudal levy adds medium horse during the campaign season.

Forces mainly patrol the Salt Route defending against brigands and Kath tribesmen. Young soldiers are often assigned here for experience before transfer to the Oselmarch Army.
